Along with the Doctors, our Practice employs a team of people who are vital to the smooth running of our practice. We also have a team of professional who work alongside the primary care team, including district nurses, health visitors and midwives.
Practice ManagerJillian is responsible for organising and running our busy Practice. Any problems or queries should be directed to her in the first instance.
Reception & Administration StaffThe Practice has one medical secretary, seven receptionists, and one healthcare assistant at Meadowbank Health Centre, and two receptionists at Avonbridge Health Clinic. They are involved with all the general administrative duties required to allow the day-to-day running of the Practice.
Practice NursesThe Practice Nurses are involved in a wide variety of different tasks including running Asthma, Diabetes, Ischaemic Heart Disease, Thyroid, and Epilepsy Clinics, Well Person Health Checks, taking cervical smears, travel service, childhood immunisations, flu vaccinations and general medical enquiries. Appointments for the Practice Nurses can be made at the Reception or by telephoning the appropriate surgery.
District NursesThe Practice has four attached NHS Trust nurses who are involved with nursing duties in the community as well as assisting the Practice with various tasks, employing their range of skills. The District Nurses can be contacted by telephoning the Trust Reception on 01324 717920.
Health VisitorsThe Practice has two attached Health Visitors. Contact the Health Visitors on 01324 717920 or 01324 722442.
MidwivesPregnant patients at the Practice are looked after by the Poppy Team of midwives attached to the Practice from the Obstetric Department at SRI. We employ a shared care plan with the Hospital.
