We offer a range of medical services at the Practice.
Repeat PrescriptionsRepeat prescriptions (if agreed by the Doctor) can be ordered using one of the following methods. Please allow 48 hours notice prior to collection.
Medication ReviewsAs a practice we are dedicated to providing the best possible care for all our patients and to this end we undertake a continuous review of the medicines we prescribe in light of new evidence when this becomes available.
Like many practices in Forth Valley we regularly undertake reviews of repeat medicines we prescribe as it is important that we achieve value for money and maximise care for our patients.
Where necessary we are making minor changes to some patients’ medication to ensure that the practice is prescribing in the most effective manner. Please be assured that this will be done only in the individual patients’ best interest.
Clinics & Other ServicesThese are run by our Practice Nurses and cover asthma and other respiratory problems, heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes mellitus, epilepsy, and thyroid disease.
Cervical smears are performed by all the GPs and Practice Nurses. Make an appointment at Reception.
These are run in conjunction with the Poppy Team of midwives from Stirling Royal Infirmary.
These are run in association with the Health Visitors and includes checking baby's development and arranging immunisation schedules.
The Practice offers a travel service for advice and immunisations when travelling abroad. A Travel Form can be collected from the surgery, and should be completed for each member of the group travelling and returned to the surgery at least two weeks before travel. The form will be processed and the information required will be available to the patient within three working days.
Please note that we cannot provide travel advice if Travel Forms are handed in later than two weeks prior to travel. Most immunisations need at least two weeks to become effective.
Some immunisations are available on the NHS using the usual prescription system, some are free, and some will have to be purchased privately.
