How Do I Order a Repeat Prescription
Repeat prescriptions (if agreed by the Doctor) can be ordered using one of the following methods. Please allow 48 hours notice prior to collection.
- Tick the items you require on the right-hand side of your prescription form and post it into the repeat prescription box at Reception.
- Request your repeat prescription by post, enclosing a stamped addressed envelope.
As a practice we are dedicated to providing the best possible care for all our patients and to this end we undertake a continuous review of the medicines we prescribe in light of new evidence when this becomes available.
Like many practices in Forth Valley we regularly undertake reviews of repeat medicines we prescribe as it is important that we achieve value for money and maximise care for our patients.
Where necessary we are making minor changes to some patients medication to ensure that the practice is prescribing in the most effective manner. Please be assured that this will be done only in the individual patients best interest.
Order Your Prescription Online
For the benefit and convenience of our patients, we are able to offer a number of facilities for you to order your prescriptions online. These facilities are ONLY for ordering REPEAT prescription items that are printed on the right-hand side of your printed prescription form. If you require any other medication, you will need to contact the Practice in the usual way.
You will still need to allow the usual 48 hours notice before collecting your prescription. If you have arrangements with a local pharmacy, your prescription will be collected and delivered to you as normal. Please note that if you order your prescription over the weekend it will not be available for collection until Tuesday.
Option 1 – Patient Access
Prescriptions can now be ordered through the website www.patient.co.uk. If you have already registered to use this service and book your appointments online you will see there is now an option to order prescriptions as well. If you are not already registered please ask at Reception for information. This new system is much easier to use and is safer as it is linked directly to your medical records and means that your medication list will always be up-to-date and accurate.
Option 2 – Secure Form
You can still order your prescriptions using our secure prescription order form. Please note that this form is for the patients of Drs Whitelaw, Hunter, Sydney, Orr & Hanlon ONLY. If you are registered with one of the other practices at Meadowbank Health Centre, please contact your registered Practice for information about how you can obtain your prescription.
Option 3 – Mobile App
You can also order your prescription and make appointments via a Smart Phone app. This can be downloaded via www.patient.co.uk/accessapp/.
